Make an impact with our Finance team as a Senior Accountant, Partner Accounting. This diverse team of professionals are committed to delivering firm-wide financial solutions with expertise and precision. As a trusted advisor, you’ll compile, analyze, summarize and monitor financial data and reports that are integral to understanding the financial position of our firm.

Responsibilities

Maintain project schedules to complete updates of Partner related records

Set up, maintain, and make updates to Partner information in applicable Finance systems

Set up, maintain, and make updates to Partner buyout/pension accounting systems

Directly support our EFT payments and T5013 processes

Prepare monthly journal entries and general account reviews

Provide coding, reconciliation, and communication of Partner capital accounts and draws

Develop internal relationships to understand and be aware of factors that affect Partner related records

Liaise and work closely with Human Capital, Legal, IT, Executive Administration, and our Firm Tax teams on Partner changes

Assist in budgeting and creating opening balance sheets for mergers and conducting anniversary post-merger reviews and reconciliations

Perform ad-hoc reporting and special projects as required

Skills and Experience

5+ years of relevant experience in a payroll or accounting role

Thorough understanding of accounting concepts

Critical thinking skills, with the ability to see the broader impacts on financial accounting and tax

Ability to use knowledge and experience to recommend a course of action

Proficient with Microsoft Excel, and experienced in working with various accounting systems

Experience applying AI to streamline processes (Power automate, Office scripts, Copilot)

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to manage internal and external relationships

Written and verbal English language skills, with French considered an asset
