Job Description
Focused on building innovative data platforms, the remote full-time Senior Data Engineer II will develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, manage data APIs, and design systems with an emphasis on AI-augmented engineering.
##### Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and backend ingestion workflows for Samsara's Data Platform
Design, build, and manage data APIs in Python and optimize API performance within AWS ecosystems
Define and enforce data engineering standards and collaborate with cross-functional teams to evolve the enterprise data ecosystem
##### Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field
10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Data Engineer with a focus on data
8+ years of experience building and maintaining large-scale, production-grade data pipelines
5+ years of hands-on experience with Spark/PySpark in a production environment
3+ years of experience developing and managing APIs, preferably in Python
