**Resource Management Business Partner within our T&T Resource Management Team**

Resource Management (RM) is a crucial function within T&T at Deloitte. Sitting at the core of our business the RM team matches our talented people with the most appropriate client projects.

As a Resource Management Business Partner, you will lead a team of Resource Managers, supporting business unit leadership, key stakeholders and practitioners. You will play a critical role in the implementation and delivery of resource management services to provide operational excellence whilst supporting delivery of the business talent strategy.

You will achieve this by working closely with the Human Capital RM team and their business units and other internal departments to ensure the effective deployment, utilisation and development of on and offshore resources. The role is people focussed and founded on managing and developing a team, in establishing effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.

This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to strategically lead the Resource Management for the Human Capital Portfolio, overseeing the optimal deployment and maximisation of up to 1,300 practitioners. You will inspire and develop a high-performing team of up to 8 Resource Managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Building impactful relationships with Partners and Directors, you will proactively challenge the business to drive performance, ensure compliance, and enhance operational efficiency. Leveraging your deep business acumen and advanced data analysis skills, you will anticipate future needs, identify critical skills gaps, and translate complex insights into actionable strategies to optimise utilisation and achieve key business objectives. This is a chance to truly shape and deliver the RM strategy, leading initiatives that directly contribute to the firm's success and talent agenda.

The T&T business is large, complex and fast paced and the demands on the RM team can change hour by hour. To support this we work flexibly to ensure we closely align ourselves to the business and their requirements. You will be supported by the Senior RMBP team and Head of RM for T&T.

Your responsibilities

  • **Strategic Leadership & Collaboration:** As a pivotal member of the Resource Management (RM) Leadership Team, you will actively manage and lead the team's day-to-day operations, fostering a high-performance culture. You will collaborate closely with your RM Business Partner (RMBP) peers to synthesise cross-Portfolio business insights, driving informed resource strategies and operational excellence.
  • **Talent Development & Professionalisation:** You will serve as a visible role model, demonstrating a deep commitment to the professional development and mentorship of your team members. Your leadership will be instrumental in elevating and professionalising the RM function, setting the benchmark for internal brand perception and operational standards.
  • **Expertise & Influence:** Leveraging your extensive experience as a seasoned Resource Manager, you will bring significant gravitas and implement leading best practices within the team. Your communication will be consistently clear, authoritative, and persuasive, enabling effective stakeholder engagement and decision-making.
  • **Strategic Business Partnering:** You will act as a strategic business partner to the Human Capital Leadership Team, utilising advanced data analytics to generate profound insights. This will be critical in informing strategic talent decisions, ensuring data accuracy, and upholding robust governance frameworks across resource deployment.
  • **Advocacy & Representation:** You will be the primary representative for the Human Capital Resource Management Team on all deployment-related matters, proactively engaging in key working groups and leadership meetings. In this capacity, you will champion the team's perspectives and contribute expert insights to shape broader organisational strategies.
  • **Holistic Strategic Vision:** You will consistently demonstrate strategic and collaborative thinking, adept at synthesising complex information from diverse conversations, stakeholders, business units, and industries. This ability to 'join the dots' will enable you to grasp the big picture, effectively balance competing business needs, and drive consensus towards achieving clear, impactful outcomes.

  • Previous experience of Resource Management essential.
  • Prior experience in a Consulting/Professional Services firm essential.
  • Experienced candidates with a background in recruitment / relationship management within the consulting / professional services space may also be considered.
  • You will be degree qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by your prior experience
  • Must have Resource Management or Recruitment experience directly in a Professional service firm in a partnership environment.
  • Must have People Management experience with prior exposure to end of year reviews, managing development of people through objective settings and ongoing performance reviews with those people they lead.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows, Word and Excel with the ability to proactively analyse data and extract relevant insights for stakeholders within the business.
  • A diligent and conscientious approach to work, with a demonstrated ability to be in the detail, driving data accuracy and governance and able to identify discrepancies against short timescales.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to talk authoritatively and credibly; being able to adapt to different working styles, approaches and audiences.
  • Must have experience and be able to demonstrate building strong and credible relationships as a trusted advisor at all working levels up to and including partners.
  • Must have prior experience of delivering clear workforce insights to support decision-making such as forecasting demand, deployment and hiring decisions.
