Job Description

Immediate start for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to be based in the Northern suburbs for approximately 8 months working full time hours.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing for employees across the business.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end payroll processing on a weekly/fortnightly basis for up to 460 staff.
Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring data integrity
Interpreting relevant awards, agreements, and legislation
Managing superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax obligations
Processing new starters, terminations, and leave entitlements
Responding to payroll queries in a timely and professional manner
Assisting with payroll reporting and audits as required
About You
Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing (essential)
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders
Ability to work autonomously and manage deadlines effectively
Police check required
