Job Description

**Job Summary:**

The Service Desk Technician provides technical support to internal employees by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role also includes configuring and maintaining company specific software settings in a timely manner. By responding to tickets, maintaining systems, and troubleshooting incidents, the Service Desk Technician ensures staff have the tools they need to work effectively and the company continues to operate smoothly

**Responsibilities:**

  • Respond to incoming Service Desk tickets from end users in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network related issues, both in person and remotely.
  • Maintain, update, and support company specific software.
  • Maintain cybersecurity, protecting confidential client information.
  • Onboard and set up technical equipment for new and existing employees.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other Service Desk technicians with a team oriented mindset.
  • Collaborate interdepartmentally with Development teams and management to resolve incidents and requests.
  • Maintain equipment and license inventory, ensuring all assets are properly logged, assigned, and tracked.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and security news.
  • Document changes and complete regular worklogs.
  • Create IT support documentation and knowledge base articles.

**Qualifications**

  • Completed degree program in a related field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, OR equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of cyber security best practices.
  • Familiarity with IT troubleshooting, ticketing software, remote support tools, and basic network configurations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Customer focused attitude with a commitment to providing high quality support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
