Site Fitter / Steel Erector

Main Duties

• Read and interpret technical drawings to install equipment & components.
• Carry out fabrication and welding of steel components, machinery and equipment.
• Perform maintenance, repairs and installation of mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults on machinery and mechanical systems.
• Repair and maintain conveyors, elevators and other mechanical equipment.
• Assist with machinery upgrades, fabrication projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Travel to site locations throughout Ireland.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Fitter, Fabricator, Maintenance Fitter or Mechanical Maintenance role.
• Welding and fabrication skills, including MIG, TIG and Arc welding.
• Good fault finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience working with hydraulic and mechanical equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
