Job Purpose and Impact

As the Site Leading Hand, you'll take ownership of daily operations at our Nyngan facility, leading a dedicated team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes. Key Accountabilities

Lead the safe, efficient, and compliant day-to-day operation of the grain storage facility, including receivals, storage, and outturn activities.

Supervise, coach, and train employees and contractors, fostering a strong safety culture and high operational standards.

Drive excellence in safety, quality, inventory management, and risk management programs across the site.

Support operational planning, workforce scheduling, and performance reporting to optimise site productivity and customer outcomes.

Contribute to the maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of site assets, providing leadership support during peak periods and in the absence of the Site Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

Secondary school education or equivalent, with experience in grain handling, agriculture, logistics, manufacturing, or another bulk materials environment highly regarded.

Hands-on leadership experience with the ability to supervise, train, and support team members in a dynamic operational setting.

Experience operating or working around heavy plant and mobile equipment, such as loaders, tractors, conveyors, or similar machinery, is advantageous.

Flexibility to work outdoors, travel to other sites, and work weekends or shift hours during peak periods.

Current driver's licence required; First Aid and Confined Space certifications are highly regarded.
