Our challenge
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in test automation, functional testing, and deep expertise in the Capital Markets domain. The ideal candidate will work closely with product owners, business analysts, and development teams to ensure high-quality delivery of trading, investment, and financial applications.
The Role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end‑to‑end testing for capital markets applications.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and convert them into comprehensive test cases.
- Develop automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, API/Postman, RestAssured, etc.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvements in processes and quality.
- Execute automation test suites as part of CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
- Analyse defect trends and provide insights to improve product quality.
- Collaborate with developers and BAs to triage issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Ensure adherence to QA best practices, standards, and documentation guidelines.
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience in QA Automation and Functional Testing.
- Strong expertise in automation tools/frameworks such as:
- Selenium / Cypress / Playwright
- Java / Python / C# (any one)
- Cucumber / BDD frameworks
- RestAssured / Postman for API testing
- Hands-on experience working in the Capital Markets domain, with knowledge of:
- Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives
- Order Management Systems (OMS)
- Trading platforms, market data feeds
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and Agile practices.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, Docker.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
