Sous Chef
Job Description
Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club is looking for a qualified and experienced Sous Chef, to work as part of the kitchen team in their bistro, bar & function space.
The successful applicant will be a qualified chef with experience in quality establishments. You must show enthusiasm and be willing to learn quickly as well as being a fluent English speaker.
The role requires food preparation in accordance with recipes and requirements as determined by the Head Chef, ensuring food is of the highest possible standard, while maintaining hygiene and HACCP standards at all times.
Requirements:
A passion for food, with strong cooking skills
Hard working and reliable. Able to multitask and work quickly under pressure
Have previous experience of working in a similar role, at a similar level
Manage daily kitchen operations in an organised fashion, supervising the junior members of the team, motivating and assigning duties as required
Ability to both work as a part of the team and lead in the absence of the Head Chef
Proactively support the Head Chef with menu development, ordering and tasks as required
Excellent hygiene and HACCP experience, with an in-depth knowledge of Health & Safety Standards, ensuring that all HACCP procedures are implemented
Authorised to work full time in Ireland - the company isn't offering visa/sponsorship or relocation packages for this role
