About the role

Working alongside the Head Chef, you'll help lead daily kitchen operations, develop chefs and deliver the quality guests expect. You'll lead by example, communicate clearly and help build a kitchen where people feel supported and proud of their work.

Manage food safety, stock control and kitchen organisation

About you

Minimum of ten years' professional cooking experience, including experience in a senior kitchen role

Passion for Māori, Pacific and Asian food, with curiosity and respect for the cultures behind the kai

Strong leadership skills and the ability to support, teach and motivate your team

Confidence during fast-paced service, with high standards for flavour, presentation and consistency

Willingness to learn, take feedback and contribute fresh ideas

Practical approach to your own wellbeing, with habits that help you stay balanced and bring your best to work

Sound knowledge of food safety, stock control and kitchen organisation
