Special Education: HS

Special education teacher needed for special education life skills transition program at the high school. Knowledge and ability to implement a functional life skills based curriculum using strategies to address the needs of diverse learners. Knowledge of and ability to implement a functional transition program, including but not limited to work based readiness, functional reading and math, and post-secondary skill training. Must also have knowledge of and ability to implement positive and effective classroom management strategies. Knowledge of NYSAA. Ability to work and collaborate with people as part of a multidisciplinary team. Must possess New York State Certification: Permanent Special Education or SWD 7-12 Generalist
