Specialist Operator - Grader

Mō te tūranga | About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Grader Operator to join our team and help deliver good work across our projects. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to get the job done safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

You’ll be trusted to operate grading plant professionally, support the wider site crew, and keep work moving to plan. It’s a role for someone who takes pride in doing solid work, and backs their team.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

- Operate the grader safely and efficiently to support road construction and maintenance works.

- Complete pre-starts, plant checks, and basic maintenance before machinery is operated.

- Follow the work programme and site instructions from your supervisor or foreperson to keep delivery on track.

- Take safety seriously by speaking up, using stay safe questions, and reporting incidents, near misses, and hazards.

- Look for smarter, safer ways of working and contribute to a team culture built on respect, reliability, and good work.

Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with

- A current Class 4 driver licence essential.

- W, T, R endorsements essential.

- Minimum Level 1 Traffic Controller certification.

- Proven construction grading experience, ideally building new roads.

- A strong focus on safety, quality, and doing the job right the first time.

- A reliable, practical, team-focused approach with a willingness to learn and get stuck in.
