Description and Requirements

Position: Sr. Applications Developer

Location: 2251 S. Decatur Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89102 (Various unanticipated worksites within the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Translate user requirements into design for new software or extensive software revisions.
• The Sr. Applications Developer will analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system. Specifically, he will analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of the design.
• The Sr. Applications Developer will confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design systems to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
• The Sr. Applications Developer will modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Additionally, he will monitor the functioning of equipment to ensure that the system operates in conformance with specifications.
• Working closely with stakeholders to identify and negotiate opportunities to apply architecture standards and guidelines to existing and modified applications.
• Perform the code review of other team members and provide the comments and feedback to ensure code is performing efficiently and as per the design.
• Look for the opportunity for implementing tools and applications to make the process better and more efficient.
• Support client in implementing new technologies (like moving to Cloud, convert SOAP to REST, containerize the service etc.) for the efficient functioning of services. Position will be headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, with periodic relocation required to various unanticipated project worksites throughout the United States.

Educ./experience

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field plus two (2) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Senior Applications Developer or in a related position.
• Experience must include: Jenkins, Spring Boot, Micro-services, Swagger, JEBC, Camunda platform, Apache Tomcat Server; Singleton and Adapter Design Patterns.
• Position will be headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, with periodic relocation required to various unanticipated project worksites throughout the United States.
