Sr. Full Stack Developer

TELUS is seeking an energetic and creative Sr. Full Stack Developer to join our team. In this high-profile role, you will significantly influence the creation of excellent customer experiences on telus.com, utilizing the latest technologies. You have practical experience in building modern, scalable, maintainable, and secure web applications using Node.js (NestJS) and React. A strong focus on following best practices in architecture, automated testing, and state management is essential.

As a Full Stack Developer on the team, you will

Have solid experience in both Front-End and Back-End technologies, navigating complex, end-to-end application designs with an awareness of UI/UX best practices.

Be driven by curiosity, consistently seeking to understand the 'how' and 'why' behind all functionality.

Possess a strong desire to learn new technologies, supported by robust programming and design principles.

Core Technologies

Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, REST APIs, JWT Authentication, SQL Databases

Frontend: React, TypeScript, Hooks, State Management (React Query / Redux), UI Libraries

Testing: Jest, Unit Testing, Business Logic Validation, (Plus) Cypress for E2E

Technical Skills

Clean architecture and modular design

Scalable API development

Authentication and session management

Data validation and processing

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend APIs using Node.js

Build modern UI interfaces using React

Design scalable data structures

Write unit tests using Jest

Integrate external services and APIs

Perform code reviews and ensure code quality

Experience

4-6 years of experience in web development

Experience working with production systems

Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Experience using Git

Microservices or modular monolith architecture

Advanced authentication flows
