**General Summary:**

As a Support Engineer at Qualcomm, you will significantly contribute to our product improvement and work with other Engineers to sustain aspects of our product development life cycle. Support Engineers will also play a critical role in resolving technical system issues that promote product reliability. You will have endless opportunities to learn and grow in the Engineering development space as Electric and Gasoline Vehicle Support Engineer

**Minimum Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Associate's degree and 6+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.

OR

High School Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.

• Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Experienced in maintaining all mechanical and electrical aspects of an electric and gasoline (both) car.
• Experienced in customizing body parts of vehicles.
• Must understand and be able to resolve problems relating to 12V and 48V electric issues in the car.
• Must understand CAN, audio, video and other wiring and resolve problems as they arise.
• Must be able to quickly diagnose and fix or suggest the actions needed for any mechanical problems.
• Must be able comfortable with terminologies, concepts and components of camera systems, audio systems, and other sensors.
• Must be able to communicate proficiently and professionally, in both spoken and written format, with team members, Qualcomm employees, and partners from around the world (for example Germany, India, China, Japan).
• Must drive cars as and when needed, for testing, data collection and other similar needs.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, and position equipment or vehicle components weighing up to 50 pounds over short distances, with or without reasonable accommodation.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities:**

• Evaluates high-level project requirements for the team and provides organizational or development support from initial concept through completion phases of projects.
• Contributes to design reviews in collaboration with engineers and leads implementation of highly complex designs.
• Manages and operates company products and/or components based on specifications, tolerances, and reliability. Monitors product performance, analyzes highly complex and critical failures or malfunctions, and drives the development and implementation of corrective action.
• Leads team to collect, integrate, and interpret data and information from multiple sources and stakeholders across functional areas to help others understand highly complex and ambiguous specifications and develop solutions to challenging problems.
• Collaborates globally with cross-functional and/or external stakeholders to develop, integrate, and/or execute large initiatives.

**Level of Responsibility:**

• Provides supervision/guidance to other team members.
• Decision-making is significant in nature and affects work beyond immediate work group.
• Works within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department.
• Has a great degree of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is making or directly making key decisions that will have substantial impact over the organization).

**Pay range** **and Other Compensation & Benefits** **:**

$34.19 - $51.29

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
