Teacher Aide starting Nov 2026

We are looking for a positive, solutions focussed person to help support our learners with specific behavioural and health needs. The person would be providing 1:1 support.

This position is fixed term from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Thursday, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break (school term weeks only for the remainder of the 2026 school year). Starting Monday 23 November through to Thursday 17 December for 2026, with a training day prior to starting. This equates to 5:30 hours per day, and 22 hours per school week.

The position would recommence in 2027 on Wednesday 3 February until Thursday 16 December 2027 (school term weeks only). Please note that the 2027 daily hours may slightly reduce depending on funding received.

Position requirements

Ability to connect with students with behaviour and learning needs and form a positive relationship.

Work alongside the classroom teachers and receive instructions and guidance for how to support the student.

Be able to use initiative and reflect on the programme and modify where necessary.

We would prefer someone with previous teacher aide experience and who has good English communication skills.
