We are looking for an Access and Choice Team Leader to provide day-to-day leadership and oversight. You will guide a multidisciplinary team to deliver consistent, culturally safe, and equitable services across the network. Access and Choice Team Members provide immediately accessible, evidence-based interventions to individuals and their families to help improve mental health and physical wellbeing.
As fully integrated members of the practice team, they identify health concerns and co‑create practical, achievable plans with patients. Based on the behavioural health consultant model, the service is adapted to reflect the diverse needs of Aotearoa New Zealand.

5 weeks annual leave after two years.
Sick leave entitlement of 5 days will be available from commencement of employment and another 5 days at 6 months of employment. 10 days entitlement will be available at 12 months service thereafter.

What are we looking for
- Proven experience in primary care and/or community mental health services
- Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to support, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both internal and external
- Experience in service delivery planning, quality improvement, and operational management
- A commitment to equity, cultural safety, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles
- Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities
- A proactive, improvement-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills
