Technical Consultant

About the role

As a Technical Consultant, you'll join client projects early, learn our platform in depth, and build the client-facing skills that set you up for a long-term consulting career at Aderant. You'll work alongside experienced consultants on real client environments, translating business needs into working solutions, and building the communication instincts that strong consulting work depends on.

Key responsibilities

Partner with clients to understand their needs, gather software requirements, and help shape practical solutions

Act as a day-to-day point of contact for clients on your projects, building trust through clear, confident communication

Configure, customise, and test software solutions within Aderant products, working hands-on with real client data and processes

Present findings, updates, and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders. You'll be in the room, not just behind the scenes.

Document project progress and communicate status clearly across client and internal teams

Troubleshoot functional issues and work through solutions

Bring client feedback back to our product teams. Your perspective helps shape what we build next.

About you

Strong written and verbal communication skills; confidence presenting to a room can develop over time

Programming experience from coursework, personal projects, or work experience, Python or C# preferred

Basic working knowledge of MSSQL (simple queries, comfortable navigating a database)

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field

A client-first mindset: patient, clear, and calm when things get complicated

Sharp problem-solving instincts and a genuine interest in working with code

Comfortable managing multiple priorities at once

Willingness to travel occasionally (domestic and/or international), depending on client needs and project assignments
