About the Role
Teys Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Trade Assistant to join the Maintenance team based at our Beenleigh processing site in Queensland.
You will be a full-time employee right from the start, earning a wage + super with occasional overtime, penalty rates + other great benefits!
About the Role
Keep all equipment and tools in good working condition.
Maintain all automatic lubrication systems within the plant.
Inform supervisors of any concerns regarding rails, gates and chains.
Maintain standards and company policies and procedures.
Conform to regulations and standards.
Prevent rail fallout that could compromise product quality.
About You:
Basic mechanical knowledge or experience in a similar trade assistant/laborer role.
Physically fit and capable of handling repetitive and manual tasks in cold and wet environments.
Willingness to work in a meat processing facility (including exposure to blood, raw meat, and by-products).
Willingness to learn and follow strict hygiene and safety standards.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with experienced tradespeople
Ability to follow instructions carefully and always adhere to safety requirements
Reliable and punctual.
Be a team player and willing to help others get the job done
