Location: Scotstoun (Glasgow) We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-4 days per week.

Role description

Capturing and analysing requirements in order to understand the customer/business needs and the context in which the system will be used.

Supporting the design and optimisation of system architectures and solutions using system modelling techniques.

Facilitating successful integration of systems and sub-systems.

Identifying and mitigating failure modes.

Supporting the identification of safety hazards and the assessment and mitigation of safety risk.

Creating high quality written reports and calculations to back up engineering decisions and recovery plans.

The Naval Ships Team

We design and build offshore patrol vessels, giant aircraft carrier and provide complex warships including the Type 26 Frigate to the Royal Navy, giving the customer capability to fulfil operations around the world.

Qualification requirements

As a minimum requirement you’ll need to be on track to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design Engineering or Marine Engineering (Mechanical Engineering with Manufacturing or with another allied subject is also acceptable) subject
