Purpose of the Role:
To ensure product is ripened and dispatched to meet customer specifications and control all equipment associated with this task.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Ensure ripening room set up correctly.
Daily checks on ripening rooms and fruit.
Ensure fruit is ripened to customer specification.
Complete all associated paperwork with ripening.
Maintain hygiene in the ripening rooms to company standards
Liaise with production on daily operations
Updating planning sheets
General warehouse duties
Loading/unloading trucks
Order assembly in Warehouse
Person Specification / Core Competencies:
Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in a warehousing environment.
Forklift license required
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and written.
- Experience in a Quality Assurance environment is desirable.
- Previous experience working with bananas is desirable but not essential as full training is given.
- Experience in Microsoft office is essential.
Proven planning and organisational skills
Effective Communication skills.
Ability to work on own initiative.
A firm customer service understanding and approach.
Special Circumstances:
Flexibility is required to work outside of normal hours to suit the requirements of the business.
Must be willing to work shift patterns.
Willingness to travel as may be required.
