Warehouse Worker

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Warehouse & Forklift Operative to support our warehouse and logistics operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials and products are efficiently transported, loaded, and stored, helping us maintain smooth warehouse operations. Duties to including picking, packing, loading and assisting warehouse staff with day to day orders and keeping the work area neat and tidy.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Safely operate counterbalance and/or reach forklifts to move materials and stock within the warehouse and production areas.

✅ Load and unload trucks, ensuring items are stacked and secured correctly.

✅ Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance issues.

✅ Follow strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.

✅ Keep warehouse aisles clear and assist in maintaining an organized workspace.

✅ Work closely with warehouse staff and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet shipping schedules.

✅ Verify and document incoming and outgoing shipments, checking for damages and discrepancies.

✅ Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate logistics.

✅ Adhere to all company policies and procedures for forklift operation and warehouse safety.

✅ Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

✔ Valid forklift operator certification (preferred, but training may be available).

✔ At least 1 years experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (preferred).

✔ Good knowledge of Warehouse operation, stock handling, and warehouse safety procedures.

✔ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

✔ Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.

✔ Physically fit, with the ability to lift and move heavy objects.

✔ Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

✔ Flexible to work different shifts, including overtime and weekends when required.

✔ Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Harlow before starting.
