Watercart Operators

• About the Role
• Unite Recruit is seeking an experienced Watercart Operator for a civil construction project in Invercargill.
• This is an opportunity to join a project with accommodation provided, daily allowances and flights home every four weeks.
• Availability to work through the Christmas and New Year break is essential. Free lunch will be provided during the Christmas break.
• What You'll Be Doing
• Operating a watercart safely and efficiently on a civil construction site.
• Carrying out dust suppression and supporting earthworks and general site operations.
• Completing pre-start vehicle checks and reporting defects or safety concerns.
• Working alongside other operators and civil crews to keep the project running smoothly.
• Following site instructions and health and safety procedures.
• What We're Looking For
• Current Class 2 driver licence – essential.
• Class 4 driver licence – preferred.
• Proven experience operating a watercart on civil construction or earthworks projects.
• Confidence working around heavy machinery, trucks and ground crews.
• A strong commitment to health and safety.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team.
• Willingness to work away from home in Invercargill for the duration of the project.
• Must be available to work through Christmas and New Year.
• Able to commit to the assignment through to mid-February 2027.
• What's on Offer?
• $30–$37 per hour, depending on experience.
