Mastek is an Engineering company based in Cootehill Co Cavan. It designs and manufactures specialized Agricultural Machinery and Forklift Masts.

Welder/Fabriactors are required to join our team to fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Work off the production schedule

• Read, interpret and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products

• Ensure all required materials and tools are at your work station at the start of each day

• Utilize tools such as a hand held, drill gun, and grinders

• Maintain weld machines using preventative maintenance methods

• Continually evaluate weld machine performance and technology to improve cycle times

• Accurately complete job cards to capture time and welding consumables used

• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards

• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified

• Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to engineering specification changes

• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures

• Prioritize work flow through effective communication with management

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Qualification requirements

• Mig welding experience

• 5+ years experience

• Ability to read drawings

• Basic reading skills and must be able to follow directions

• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly

• Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem

• High attention to detail and self-motivation skills

• Work in a team environment and respect all teammates

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €15.00-€18.00 per hour
