About the role
This is a great opportunity for skilled tradespeople with strong welding and metal fabrication experience who can confidently work from engineering drawings and produce high-quality workmanship.
Key responsibilities
Measuring, cutting, grinding, assembling and welding metal components
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, plans and specifications
Operating welding and fabrication equipment
Completing work accurately and to the required specifications
Working with mild steel, stainless steel and/or aluminium
About you
Minimum 3 years' experience in welding and/or fabrication
Proven experience in MIG, TIG and/or ARC welding
Experience in structural steel, general fabrication and/or heavy engineering
Strong understanding of welding techniques, metal preparation and fabrication processes
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety
Reliable, physically fit and able to work independently or within a team
Trade qualification in Engineering or Fabrication advantageous
Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence advantageous
