\r\n\r\nJob Description\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nHourly Rate:  $40.00\r\nReason for vacancy:  Existing Headcount \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nQualification and Position Requirements:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAcceptable standard on aptitude test English and Mathematical skills\r\n\t3rd class or better stationary engineering classification in good standing with the T.S.S.A.\r\n\t2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing food processing environment as a Stationary Engineer\r\n\tLicensed Electrician or Millwright would be an additional asset\r\n\tMaintain/Monitor/Check all refrigeration equipment requirements to TSSA Standards\r\n\tParticipate in plant equipment repairs/installations\r\n\tInterface with necessary Contractual and Inspection Departments for corrective and or legal requirements\r\n\tCarry out oral/ printed work requests and apply corrective measures in a timely fashion utilizing computerized maintenance system\r\n\tMaintain accurate records of safe management, operations and maintenance through compliance.\r\n\tImprove plant efficiency by reporting on operating conditions of equipment, determine operating window, and helping to develop and maintain a maintenance program.\r\n\tTroubleshoot any mechanical breakdown relating to the Utilities Department to ensure minimal loss in manufacturing of our products.\r\n\tWork together with all other departments to ensure a productive team environment and the continuous improvement of the plant processes.\r\n\tUnderstand all operating procedures of our facilities processing equipment and is able to maintain it.\r\n\tMaintain a safe and clean work environment by ensuring plant and powerhouse are operating in accordance with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (T.S.S.A.)\r\n\tEnsure all work performed complies with governing practices, codes and regulations.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nEquipment & Trouble Shooting Skills:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tMechanical abilities and trouble shooting skills are required\r\n\tPractical knowledge of the operation and maintenance of heating and cooling systems is required\r\n\tAmmonia Freon and steam systems is required\r\n\tWorking experience with computerized maintenance Management Systems\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nQuality & Food Safety Skills:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tThorough, accurate, and neat completion of forms for HACCP & Quality Assurance (including lot control for traceability, process control charting and production reporting)\r\n\tProduct quality checks against customer and internal specifications\r\n\tAbility to maintain cleanliness of areas of responsibility\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nHealth and Safety:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tDemonstrated ability to wear proper PPE and comply with safety requirements\r\n\tPulling, twisting, bending, lifting and standing\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nCommunication, Cooperation & Continuous Improvement Skills:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAbility to read, write and communicate in English\r\n\tResults orientated and work as part of a functional team  \r\n\tPositive interaction and information sharing with Associates and Salaried Team\r\n\tActive participation in Work Group meetings\r\n\tAbility to obtain pertinent information, evaluate information objectively and explore alternative solutions to problems\r\n\tActively finding new and improved ways of completing tasks\r\n\tWilling to try new things and assume additional responsibilities\r\n\tCross-shift communication\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nOther:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAcceptable standard on aptitude test English and Mathematical skills\r\n\tCompletion of the Thomas International DISC Personality Profile\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n
