\r\n\r\nJob Description\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe Opportunity:\r\n\r\nThe Technical Field Service Analyst is responsible for providing support to the Technical Services Supervisor and Breeder Service Technician. This includes collecting and analyzing data, performing basic technical field servicing responsibilities, and facilitating communication between various parties. The position also requires occasional coverage for the Procurement Coordinator. The goal of this position is to help drive continuous improvements in animal care, health, and performance measures in poultry.\r\n \r\n\r\nAny MLF team member interested in being considered for this role are encouraged to apply online by October 22.  Applications received beyond that date are not guaranteed consideration.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSnapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tComplete weekly and monthly reports utilizing hatchery and processing plant data and send to respective parties\r\n\tFacilitate communications between primary breeder company, Maple Leaf Foods, and hatching egg producers including all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.\r\n\tPlan and schedule breeder chick placements, assuring quota requirements are aligned with hatching egg board mandates, producer requests, and primary breeder company availability\r\n\tDevelop reports for producer flock records to identify trends, changes, possible challenges, and opportunities for improvement. May include, but is not limited to placements, production, and mortality.\r\n\tCollect information from producers to input into data tracking\r\n\tConduct data analysis to provide field teams with trends and data to be shared with internal and external stakeholders\r\n\tFacilitate communications from field team to stakeholders as requested\r\n\tCollect information necessary for conducting investigations\r\n\tConduct extreme weather pre-loading assessments\r\n\tSupport animal health programs as requested\r\n\tComplete basic field work, including but not limited to chick placements, environmental swabbing, couriering supplies and/or samples, and blood and tissue sampling.\r\n\tSupport and coverage for Procurement Coordinator when requested. Such responsibilities include completion of live daily payments, reviewing legal paperwork, internal & external communications, updating schedules, mailing samples, and other duties.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat You’ll Bring:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPost-secondary education, preferably in life sciences such as agricultural, animal science, or related field (or equivalent work experience)\r\n\tOne to two years’ experience in agricultural or food industry an asset\r\n\tAnalytical and reporting skill set with ability to provide recommendations\r\n\tComfortable with working with and manipulating data sets\r\n\tAbility to present findings to a wide range of audiences\r\n\tCompetency and comfort using Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint\r\n\tWillingness to learn basic environmental and tissue sampling from barns and necropsies\r\n\tStrong desire to drive continuous improvement\r\n\tAttention to detail\r\n\tExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal\r\n\tAbility to work independently and in a team environment; be self-motivated and enthusiastic\r\n\tWillingness to develop into role\r\n\tStrong time management and organizational skills  \r\n\tWillingness to perform occasional physical activity\r\n\tStrong problem-solving skills\r\n\tAbility to work flexible hours - outside of normal working hours\r\n\tMust have a Class 5 driver’s license\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat We Offer at Maple Leaf Foods:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBeing part of a high-performance, people-focused company that has an inspiring and unique vision to become the most sustainable protein company on earth, and a deep commitment to sustainable protein across North America.\r\n\tAn inclusive company culture and a work environment that keeps our people safe, rewards excellence, and empowers everyone to learn and contribute their best.\r\n\tCompetitive Health and Wellness benefits that offer flexibility to meet your individual or family needs, including programs focused on improving mental health and wellbeing.
