About the role
Are you organised, detail-oriented, and experienced in accounts payable? We’re looking for a reliable Accounts Payable Officer to join a busy finance team based in Mt Wellington, Auckland.
This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for someone looking to put their accounts payable experience to work, join an established business, and secure a potential long-term position.
What’s on offer?
Monday to Friday
8:30am – 5:00pm
$32 per hour
Temp - Perm Opportunity
Key responsibilities:
Manage the accounts payable inbox and respond to supplier enquiries promptly.
Process, code, and obtain approvals for invoices accurately and within required timeframes.
Match inventory invoices against purchase orders and resolve pricing or supply discrepancies.
Upload invoices and investigate and resolve held items.
Complete monthly supplier reconciliations and monitor aged creditor balances.
Prepare payment runs and ensure supplier accounts are kept up to date.
Set up new supplier accounts and process creditor account applications.
Maintain accurate financial records and provide backup support to the wider finance team.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Follow company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
About you:
Previous experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role.
Strong data entry skills and a high level of accuracy.
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
The ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve supplier queries.
A high level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
A proactive attitude and willingness to assist the wider team when required.
