St John of God Midland Public Hospital we provide a comprehensive range of services including emergency medicine, critical care, day chemotherapy, paediatric care, aged and stroke care, maternity and general surgery. Our 307-bed public hospital is operated under a public-private partnership between the State Government and St John of God Health Care.
Our Services includewide range of public health care services for people in Midland and surrounding communities. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, public maternity care, Aboriginal pregnancy and maternity support through Moort Boojari Mia, acute mental health treatment and medical and surgical care.
Your role
St John of God Midland Public Hospital is currently seeking Anaesthetic Technicians and Registered Nurses to join our Anaesthetics team

The Position
Act as the patient advocate.
Preserve patient confidentiality.
Deliver competent assistance throughout the anaesthetic phase in both routine and emergency situations.
Ensure patient safety throughout the anaesthetic phase, in particular with respect to the nominated position of the patient.
Participate in the daily maintenance of associated anaesthetic equipment.
Contribute to the orientation and continuing learning and development of new anaesthetic caregivers and other Operating Rooms caregivers.
Cooperate with preceptorship of student technicians and new caregivers.
Act as an anaesthetic resource for Operating Rooms caregivers.
Actively participate in internal and external learning programs.
Attend training sessions offered by the Hospital. Recognise the necessity to continually develop skills and acquire additional knowledge appropriate to the position.
Position Requirements
You will hold a Certificate IV and/or Diploma Qualification in Anaesthetic Technology or you will be a current Registered Nurse with AHPRA and demonstrate recent clinical experience with Anaesthetics and PACU. You will also have the ability to work without direct supervision and in less stable conditions.
To succeed you will implement the care plan/care path as well as monitor and evaluate patient care all (within your scope of practice), whilst having the ability to solve problems, or seek help from appropriate resources. To be considered for this role you will demonstrate a minimum of 2 years clinical experience within an Anaesthetics speciality.

We can offer you
Anaesthetic Technician Salary: $81,827 to $99,892 per annum (pro rata for part-time), plus 12% superannuation
Anaesthetic Technician Casual Rate: $51.60 to $62.99 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 12% superannuation
Registered Nurse Salary: $82,945 to $106,629 per annum (pro rata for part-time), plus 12% superannuation
Registered Nurse Casual Rate: $52.30 to $67.74 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 12% superannuation
