Welder Apprenticeship

Boilermaker Apprenticeship

Welder Apprenticeship

As a Welder Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced tradespersons to develop practical welding and fabrication skills while helping to fabricate refuse collection equipment. You will learn to complete work in line with design specifications, quality standards and customer requirements while completing your apprenticeship training.

Your day-to-day learning will include

Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings

Develop practical MIG welding and fabrication skills

Assist with oxy cutting and other workshop tasks

Learn to complete work in line with quality and safety standards

Complete production, training and quality documentation accurately

Contribute ideas to improve workshop processes and production outcomes

Boilermaker Apprenticeship

As a Boilermaker Apprentice, you will work alongside qualified tradespersons to develop practical metal fabrication and welding skills while helping to build Bucher Municipal equipment. You will learn to complete work in line with engineering drawings, design specifications, quality standards and safety requirements while completing your apprenticeship training.

Your day-to-day learning will include

Learn to fabricate and assemble components for municipal equipment

Develop practical MIG welding, oxy cutting and metal fabrication skills

Fit an install fabricated components and repair structural steel.

Read and interpret engineering drawings with guidance

Measure, mark out, cut and prepare materials for fabrication

Learn to use workshop tools, machinery and lifting equipment safely

About You

A willingness to learn, follow instructions and ask questions

A reliable, punctual and safety-focused approach

Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

The ability to balance practical work with the study requirements of an apprenticeship
