Asphalt Haulage Truck Driver – Class 5

About the role
atw Trucks is seeking an experienced Class 5 Truck Driver to join our team. Based out of Tauranga, the role involves asphalt haulage both locally and regionally and is suited to a reliable driver who takes pride in safe, efficient and professional heavy vehicle operations.
Key responsibilities
Safely operate Class 5 heavy vehicles
Available to work either day or night shifts as well as potential for stay away
Takes pride in keeping their gear (and truck) clean, comply with the company's H&S and work well in a team environment
Complete daily vehicle checks and report maintenance or safety issues
Maintain accurate delivery and driving records
Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers and site teams
About you
Current NZ Class 5 Driver Licence and a clean driving record
Minimum 2 years' Class 5 driving experience
Strong commitment to safe driving and compliance
Reliable, punctual and professional
Good communication skills and ability to work independently
Willingness to travel and stay away round the North Island when required
Experience driving an 18-speed Road Ranger manual
Heavy haulage, asphalt, aggregate or civil construction experience
Experience working around construction sites
Pass a Drug & Alcohol test
