The School of Veterinary Medicine and Science is an established and forward thinking school at the University of Nottingham. We have recently adopted an innovative dual intake system whereby cohorts of 150 undergraduates begin in September and April each year. We have consistently ranked first in the National Student Survey since our first graduating cohort in 2011, and in the most recent Research Excellence Framework we ranked second in the UK for research power.
We are now seeking an Assistant Professor in Equine Practice to join our team and to help continue to deliver the educational standards we have become well known for. This person will be a key part of our exciting journey, as we continue to push the boundaries and develop a world-leading veterinary school.
Working predominately at our Sutton Bonington Campus, the post will involve delivering undergraduate teaching and assessment across the curriculum. Provision of a clinical service at one of our clinical associate practices may also be possible. The staff member will play a key role in delivery of an innovative equine curriculum as part of an internationally recognised team of clinical teachers, supporting both undergraduate teaching and learning, and postgraduate education. Experience in equine practice is essential for this role and familiarity of teaching and assessment in higher education is preferred. MRCVS qualification is required for this post. Postgraduate qualifications in an area of equine practice are advantageous.
The post is offered as a full time, permanent position. If you are interested about this post, please click 'apply now' and submit your details.
