Backend Software Engineer

With strong foundations already in place, they're now searching for a software engineer to join their team who are responsible for integration, ingestion and validation of data across the various internal systems. **The Role**

In this dynamic role, you'll face new challenges every day, applying a strong process-driven mindset while continuously looking for smarter, more innovative ways to improve how things are done. As part of the global team, you'll play a key role in driving innovation - experimenting with and operationalizing AI alongside ensuring the data platform is ready for business stakeholders to use. This is the perfect role for a hybrid engineer who has experience in software engineering alongside creating data pipelines and ingestions.

**Your Skills & Experience**

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer working in a data heavy business, ideally in high-volume or distributed systems environments
• Strong programming skills in Python or Java
• Experience with creating ETL pipelines, extracting, ingesting, transforming and ensuring it's ready to be used by downstream stakeholders
• Experience with Kafka for event streaming
• A collaborative mindset-comfortable working across domains, products, and infrastructure layers.

You have exceptional technical know-how and a real passion for the end-to-end solutions that drive the user experience and customer happiness. You will have effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex project environment.
