Carpenter

Tradestaff Hamilton is looking for a qualified, experienced Carpenter to work on high-quality architectural builds, renovations and extensions across Hamilton. If you've got solid residential experience, your own tools and take pride in quality workmanship, we'd like to hear from you.

Location: Hamilton-wide, Hamilton

Start date: ASAP

Pay rate: $35–$42 per hour, depending on skills and experience, with weekly pay.

What You'll Be Doing

• Work on architectural new builds, high-end renovations and extensions.
• Carry out framing, structural carpentry and detailed finishing work.
• Install doors, windows, cladding and interior fittings.
• Read and work from architectural plans and drawings.
• Complete work to a high standard and in line with NZ building requirements.
• Identify and solve construction challenges on-site.
• Work alongside other trades to keep projects running smoothly.

What We're Looking For

Recognised carpentry qualification and relevant experience.

Own tools and reliable transport.

Ability to read and interpret building plans.

Excellent workmanship and attention to detail.

Confident working independently and solving problems.

Reliable, motivated and a good team player.

Strong understanding of site health and safety practices.
