About the role

Working alongside the Production Winemaker, you’ll coordinate the day-to-day cellar operations. You’ll lead the cellar team, including vintage interns, to complete work on time and in line with winery procedures and winemaking instructions.

What you’ll be doing

Coordinate cellar work and operational logistics with the winemaking team.

Ensure safe work practices are maintained and winery compliance and audit requirements met.

Help review and maintain cellar procedures and manuals.

Monitor cellar equipment and report maintenance needs to the Site Services team.

Supervising and training cellar team including permanent cellar hands and vintage interns

Maintaining pride in the workplace, and keeping a clean and tidy winery in line with lean manufacturing principles

Build your knowledge of cellar equipment and carry out basic preventative maintenance.

What you’ll bring

Senior cellarhand experience, or relevant tertiary study focused on oenology.

Strong practical and technical skills, with an interest in wine and winemaking.

Good planning, communication and organisation skills, with the flexibility to adapt when priorities change.

A positive, hands-on approach and interest in continuous improvement.

A forklift licence and full driver’s licence.

Availability to work nights or weekends during harvest, and longer hours when required at other times.
