Hours of Work: Guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week. Rostered hours, including weekends and nights.

We require an experienced, adaptable Chef de Partie with a broad skill set who loves to work in a busy kitchen. A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar fast-paced environment required. Experience in cooking Kiwi / western cuisine is a must.

This roleis available with an immediate start and we offer a 4 day work roster for a good work-life balance. The minimum commitment is until mid-April 2027 when the busy summer season wraps up.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

The Chef de Partie role involves

• Be familiar with daily and ongoing menus, functions, specials etc.
• Be in charge of the effective and efficient running of the kitchen and service when senior chef is off.
• Safe operation of cooking equipment such as grills, microwaves, and deep-fat fryers, including regulating their temperatures.
• Clean preparation and service areas daily.
• Ensure the necessary stocks are on hand at the right quality and quantity.
• Ensure each component of a dish prepared is up to standard and properly cooked, and delivered on time.
• Follow recipes and instructions carefully.
• Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required

The successful candidate will need to have

2 years experience in a commercial kitchen environment, and

A hospitality, cookery or culinary qualification (preferred), and

Ability to work quickly and safely, and

* Excellent verbal communication skills.
