Cromwell and Wanaka

Fixed Term: Mid-December to Late January

Full-Time Hours Available (18-50 Hours per Week)

We're looking for 2 friendly, reliable, and flexible persons to join our Cherry Stall Team this summer. One person will be based in Cromwell and the other in Wanaka.

As the face of Pure Pac, you'll help locals and visitors purchase fresh cherries direct from our Central Otago orchards while creating a positive and memorable customer experience.

This role offers plenty of responsibility and independence. You'll be trusted to operate one of our cherry stalls largely on your own, so you'll need to be confident working independently, engaging with customers, and managing the day-to-day running of the stall.

What You'll Be Doing

Preparing cherries for sale by sorting, weighing, and bagging fruit.

Transporting stock and stall equipment to and from the sales site.

Setting up and packing down the stall each day, including tables, signage, and gazebo equipment.

Creating a welcoming and attractive stall presentation.

Providing outstanding customer service.

Processing cash and EFTPOS transactions.

Recording daily sales and stock accurately.

Keeping the stall clean, tidy, and well-presented.

Representing Pure Pac in a positive and professional manner.

What We're Looking For

A friendly, positive, and professional attitude.

Reliability and flexibility throughout the busy cherry season.

Confidence working independently and managing a stall on your own.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Full driver's licence.

Availability during the Christmas and New Year period, including weekends.

Good physical fitness and the ability to regularly lift up to 15kg as part of setting up, packing down, and handling stock.

Experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, or sales.

Confidence handling cash and EFTPOS transactions.

We could provide you vehicle for transport. We are trying to get a coolstore for Wanaka location so the Wanaka based staff would not need to come to cromwell everyday but this not a guarantee at the moment. We also have accommodation in Cromwell if the staff is keen to drive back to Cromwell daily.
