Busy Bees Aotearoa is part of a global early childhood education group, employing around 1,600 people across a growing network of New Zealand centres. The business is entering a new phase with a sharper focus on data-driven performance and commercial discipline.
Role Summary
Reporting to the CFO, the Commercial Finance Manager (12-month FTC) translates financial and operational performance into meaningful commercial insights, partnering with execs and operational leaders to support strategic priorities and improve business performance
Key Responsibilities
Layer a commercial lens over key strategic initiatives in areas covering procurement, pricing and wage to revenue analysis.
Partner with leaders to evaluate business opportunities, investment decisions and operational performance
Partner with Regional Managers and Education leaders on commercial decisions
Support greenfield site business cases and investment appraisals
Provide financial modelling for strategic change and Group initiatives
Translate complex data into clear insight for the CFO and SLT
Key Skills & Experience Required
CA/CPA (equivalent) qualified preferred
Commercial finance or business partnering experience, ideally in a multi-site organisation
Strong Excel skills and PowerBI experience advantageous
Experience with procurement and supplier contract analysis
Proven ability to build commercial models and business cases
Confident communicator, able to tell the numbers story at every level
* Exposure to a funding-driven or labour-intensive sector highly regarded
