Care Worker (Casual) - Community Aged Care

As a Care Worker with WMQ's Community Aged Care team, you'll support older Australians to remain living independently in their own homes while building meaningful connections and making a genuine difference every day.

Working across Hervey Bay and surrounding suburbs, you'll provide personal care, domestic assistance, social support and community access services that promote dignity, independence and wellbeing. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working independently, values flexibility and is passionate about supporting older people in their community.

What We're Looking For

• Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)

• Experience providing personal care and supporting clients in their daily lives

• Compassionate, respectful and client-focused approach

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively

• Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts and locations

• Commitment to promoting client independence, wellbeing and quality of life

A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have!

• Previous experience in Community Aged Care, Home Care or Disability Support

• Experience supporting clients with personal care, mobility and social support

• Knowledge of person-centred care practices

• Experience working within clients' homes and community settings

Essential Requirements

• Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)

• Current Australian Driver's Licence (minimum Green ‘P’ Plates)

• Access to a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle

• Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy

• Ability to travel throughout Hervey Bay and surrounding suburbs
