- Aspire People are urgently seeking an experienced Dance Tutor to deliver Level 3 dance sessions to second-year students at a Further Education college in South Wales.
- This role would suit a dance professional with strong industry experience and teaching expertise, particularly in Tap and Jazz, who can support students in developing their technical skills and preparing for progression within the performing arts industry.
The Role
- Deliver Dance sessions to Level 3 second-year students
- Teach Tap and Jazz techniques
- Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons
- Support students' technical development and progression
- Complete associated planning, preparation and administration
- Work collaboratively with college staff to support student achievement
Essential Requirements
- Relevant dance industry experience
- Experience teaching Tap and Jazz
- A PGCE or relevant teaching qualification is highly desirable
- Enhanced DBS issued within the past three years
- Willingness to register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) for Further Education in Wales
Assignment Details
- Start: ASAP
- Ongoing temporary assignment while the college recruits to a fixed-term position
- 14 teaching hours per week, spread across Monday to Thursday
- 7 additional hours of allocated administration time per week
