About the role

As a suitably qualified Enrolled Nurses (EN) and Registered Nurse (RN), you will join our Acute Medical Ward, St Emilies, specialising in cardiology and respiratory cases. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise within a fast-paced, collaborative environment while providing high-quality care to our patients.

As a valued member of our friendly and approachable team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a safe, effective, and compassionate manner.

We currently have a fixed term, part-time and casual positions available, working up to 70 hours per fortnight.

Positions will be suitable to applicants available to work a 7.5 hour and 10 hours shifts roster is across AM/PM/Night Duty Monday to Sunday. To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate experience within a cardiology or respiratory speciality.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required to patients in our Acute Medical Ward
  • Promote and contribute to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.
  • Provide patient education and act as a resource where appropriate.
  • Support and supervise staff and students as required, including orientating and precepting staff.
  • Contribute to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.
  • Provides direct total patient care to patients to achieve identified outcomes in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures and Care Paths.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse and demonstrate strong clinical skills within a cardiology and respiratory speciality.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, a proven ability to identify and resolve issues effectively, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

You will be dedicated to achieving positive patient outcomes and ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction, while demonstrating cultural awareness and the ability to work respectfully and effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicities.

We can offer you

Enrolled Nurse Salary: $72,637 to $94,929 (pro rata for part-time), plus 12% superannuation

Enrolled Nurse Casual Rate: $45.80 to $59.85 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 12% superannuation

Registered Nurse Salary: $82,945 to $106,630 (pro rata for part-time) plus 12% superannuation

Registered Nurse Casual Rate: $52.30to $67.24 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 12% superannuation

Fixed term, part-time and casual positions available, working up to 70 hours per fortnight
