ER Veterinary Nurse
Job Description
Escape the Ordinary: Emergency & Critical Care Nursing in New Zealand's Leading Emergency & Specialty Hospital Group
Imagine finishing a shift and spending your next day at the beach.
Imagine having weekends where you're exploring volcanic coastlines, hiking native bush tracks, sailing on the harbour, or heading away on a road trip.
For many ER nurses across New Zealand, changing hospitals isn't just about a new job. It's about finding a team and a role that actually fits the life you want outside of work.
At ARC Vets, we're looking for experienced ER Veterinary Nurses who want both: the challenge and satisfaction of emergency medicine, and real support to build a long-term career here.
We're New Zealand's leading emergency and specialty hospital group, independent, family-owned, specialist-led, and home to two state-of-the-art 24/7 hospitals in Auckland, with a third hospital opening in Wellington in 2027.
We're currently seeking 4-5 experienced ER Veterinary Nurses to join our expanding teams at:

Why New Zealand?
Let's be honest, New Zealand is often what catches people's attention first.
And for good reason.
Whether it's beaches, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, sailing, surfing, camping, or simply having easier access to nature, New Zealand offers an outdoor lifestyle that's hard to match.
Auckland consistently ranks among the world's most liveable cities and offers a unique balance of urban convenience and outdoor adventure.
Whether you're based at ARC Central or ARC North, you're never far from beaches, cafés, harbour walks, regional parks, and weekend adventures.
And because we have two hospitals in Auckland, changing things up doesn't have to mean starting from scratch.
What's Next?
If you're looking for advanced emergency medicine, meaningful nursing responsibility, strong leadership support, and room to grow your career, we'd love to hear from you.
