Finance Officer

The Company

Our client is currently on the search for an experienced Finance Officer to assist with their upcoming busy period. A complex QLD business that's rapidly growing within their industry. Initially a 3-month contract with a possibility of extension.

Reporting to the Shared Services Manager the Finance Officer will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end AP, AR and assisting with payroll processes of the organisation, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies, and contributing to the effective management of resources.

The Role

This 3 month contract will be suitable for animmediately available or soon to be immediately available Finance Officer, who will report directly to the Shared Services Manager. This role has the potential to be extended.

Duties include but are not limited to

• Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable, including processing invoices, matching purchase orders, supplier payments and reconciliations
• Manage Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, allocating payments, receipting and following up outstanding accounts
• Assist with collections and debtor management, including resolving customer queries and overdue accounts
• Assist with payroll processing, including timesheet checking, payroll data entry and maintaining employee records
• Assist with payroll-related administration including leave, allowances, deductions and superannuation
• Perform bank, supplier and customer reconciliations
• Assist with month-end processes and general ledger reconciliations
• Maintain accurate finance records and ensure transactions are processed in a timely manner
• Respond to supplier and customer queries
• Provide general support to the Manager and wider finance team as required

Skills and Experience

1-2 years' experience within a commercial business.

Experience using large systems.

Studying tertiary qualification or CPA / CA / ACCA qualified - desirable.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Experience with Payroll processing - advantageous

Ability to work autonomously.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
