FOH + Bar Staff | St Lui Cocktail Bar | Full Time + Part Time

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled FOH + Bar Staff to join our team at St Lui, Christchurch's most exciting new cocktail bar. There are full-time and part-time positions. As FOH + Bar Staff, you will be at the forefront of our guest experience, working in both front-of-house and behind the bar to deliver outstanding service.

Key responsibilities

Greeting and welcoming guests with genuine warmth and professionalism

Taking orders from guests and processing payments efficiently and accurately

Managing the bar area, maintaining cleanliness, organisation and stock levels

Providing knowledgeable recommendations about our menu offerings and special selections

Handling guest queries and concerns with patience and professionalism, resolving issues promptly

Working collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth service during peak times

Adhering to health and safety regulations and responsible service of alcohol practices

Supporting the setup and breakdown of the bar and dining areas as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience in bar and beverage service or front-of-house hospitality roles

Basic knowledge of cocktail preparation techniques and an understanding of spirits, wines and beers

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests and create a welcoming atmosphere

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak service times

Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and handling cash transactions accurately

A flexible and positive attitude towards scheduling. Must be available to work Friday and Saturday nights until late

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation

Passion for hospitality and a genuine interest in creating memorable guest experiences
