Health Safety and Security Manager

LSG Sky Chefs is one of New Zealand's largest airline catering businesses, operating across Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown. With approximately 1,000 employees, we produce and deliver more than 25,000 meals daily to airline customers throughout New Zealand.

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Security Manager to join our Auckland Airport leadership team and lead our national Health, Safety and Security strategy.

About the Role

This senior leadership position is responsible for driving health, safety and security excellence across our New Zealand operations. Leading a team of four direct reports, you will partner closely with site leaders to develop a proactive safety culture, ensure compliance, and deliver continuous improvement initiatives across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading national Health, Safety and Security strategies and programmes

Providing strategic and operational advice to leaders and managers

Driving positive safety and security culture across all sites

Coaching and mentoring leaders and employees

Managing incident investigations and performance reporting

Analysing safety data and providing meaningful insights

Building strong relationships with ACC, WorkSafe, security providers, airline customers and industry stakeholders

Supporting site leadership teams in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown

About You

To be successful, you will bring

• Significant Health and Safety leadership experience in a complex, highly regulated environment
• A proven ability to influence positive safety cultures
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
• Excellent analytical, reporting and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong communication, coaching and leadership skills
• Experience in aviation, logistics, manufacturing, food production, transport or similar industries will be highly regarded.
