RH Commercial Vehicles is looking for an experienced technician to join the nightshift at our recently redeveloped Northampton workshop.
If you’re a skilled technician who enjoys working independently, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work, this could be the trial opportunity for you.
Working on a dedicated night shift, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our customers’ vehicles are serviced, maintained and repaired efficiently, helping keep their operations running smoothly.
Shift Pattern:
50 hours a week
Monday – Friday: 20:00 – 06:30

The Role

As a nightshift technician, you will

Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of commercial vehicles

Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently

Work to DVSA and manufacturer standards

Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance

Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance

Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner

Support workshop productivity and vehicle uptime

Maintain a safety and organised working environment

Keep up to date with technical developments and training opportunities

What we’re looking for:

Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, Commercial Vehicle Repair or equivalent

Proven experience working on HGVs, commercial vehicles or similar equipment

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities

Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively

Commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards

Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

HGV licence

Main dealer experience

Renault Trucks or Isuzu Trucks experience

Experience with diagnostic equipment and electronic fault finding
