About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
As a Phoenix Home & Community Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in connecting clients, families, and support workers to ensure seamless, high-quality care. You’ll be the central point of contact — scheduling services, managing rosters, supporting our care team, and ensuring each client receives the right support at the right time.
No two days are the same. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where empathy, initiative, and great communication make all the difference.
Key Responsibilities | Ngā Kawenga Matua
Coordinate and schedule home and community support services.
Liaise with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Support and communicate with field staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
Maintain accurate records in our client management system.
Respond to enquiries and problem-solve issues as they arise.
What We’re Looking For | Ngā Pūkenga e Hiahiatia Ana
A customer service background is essential — you’ll have excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for helping people.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential — you’ll be confident engaging with people from all walks of life and ensuring clarity across all interactions.
Applicants with clinical or support worker experience are strongly encouraged to apply — we are also exploring hybrid coordinator/support worker roles for the right candidates.
Strong computer skills are essential, including confidence using scheduling and client management software.
Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities — you’ll stay calm and organised under pressure.
Ability to navigate complex situations with empathy, sound judgment, and professionalism.
Innovative and proactive mindset — you look for smarter, more efficient ways to support clients and teams.
It is desirable to have experience in a staff support or training role, as this position involves care-taking and supporting our support worker team.
