Applications received beyond that date are not guaranteed consideration.\r\n \r\n\r\nReason for vacancy:  Existing Headcount \r\nHourly Rate:  $41.76\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSnapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBe deeply involved in progressive, proactive maintenance routines, with a philosophy deeply rooted in a predictive approach. \r\n\tTroubleshooting and execution of identified corrective maintenance requirements. \r\n\tCarry out documented work requests and apply corrective action? \r\n\tPerform assigned work orders and account for inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance management system?(SAP). \r\n\tRead and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.\r\n\tConduct preventive maintenance routines and update maintenance records.\r\n\tInterpret electrical code specifications\r\n\tTroubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices\r\n\tMaintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, variable frequency drives, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic/pneumatic electrical control systems\r\n\tTest electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.\r\n\tInstall, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic, ethernet and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.\r\n\tEnsure all job-related operations follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practice), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points), WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) and health & safety requirements. \r\n\tUnderstand and adhere to all plant Food/Health and Safety Polices. \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat You’ll Bring:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tRed Seal Certification (Ontario Electrician license), with proven industrial field experience (3 years or greater preferred). \r\n\tKnowledge of the design, techniques and tools applied in electronic and electrical applications, with experience in pneumatics and hydraulics.\r\n\tAbility to collaborate with automation engineers.\r\n\tOperate production equipment and evaluate performance as required\r\n\tExtensive knowledge of plant and process equipment operations.? \r\n\tAbility to execute planned and scheduled daily tasks with minimal supervision.? \r\n\tAbility to work in a team-based environment.? \r\n\tStrong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.? \r\n\tMust have a full complement of personal/professional hand tools \r\n\tKnowledge of the Maintenance Reliability process (predictive and preventative maintenance) and predictive technologies.?This includes: \r\n\tThe use of precision tools such as laser alignment equipment, dial indicators, micrometers, and precision/optical levels. \r\n\tThe use of testing equipment such as vibration analysis as well as other techniques used in predictive and preventive maintenance. \r\n\tBasic knowledge of industrial safety, food safety and environmental regulations with absolute commitment to safety.? \r\n\tExcellent interpersonal and communication skills? \r\n\tMust be capable of meeting the physical demands required to perform the essential duties of the classification\r\n\tSense of urgency and attention to detail. \r\n\tBasic computer skills \r\n\tAvailability for weekend overtime as production/maintenance demands require. \r\n\tet\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat We Offer at Maple Leaf Foods:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tHourly Rate: $41.76\r\n\tMonday-Friday Schedule\r\n\tShift:  Rotating days/afternoons\r\n\tOpportunity for overtime\r\n\tBenefits available approx. 2 months after start date.\r\n\tPension after 1 year of continuous service\r\n\tTool allowance\r\n\tAll PPE is provided to employees (boots, hearing protection, etc.)\r\n\tSupport of a union\r\n\tOpportunities for growth and training development\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n
