About the role

Join SGS, the world's leading testing, inspection and certification company, and play an important role supporting Australia's agricultural export and domestic trade industries. In this hands-on role, you'll conduct inspections of agricultural commodities, ensure compliance with industry and government requirements, and help deliver trusted services to our customers.

Key responsibilities

Conduct inspections of agricultural commodity exports and domestic trade shipments

Perform export commodity inspections in accordance with Trade Assurance Services contracts and regulatory requirements

Complete accurate inspection reports and documentation within required timeframes

Liaise with customers to understand and meet their inspection requirements

Maintain and develop the skills, knowledge and qualifications required for the role

About you

To be successful you will have:

Organised, reliable and able to work independently

A strong communicator with a customer-focused approach

Detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping skills

Committed to safety, quality and continuous improvement

Comfortable working in varied environments and performing field-based inspections

Current Australian Driver's Licence

Experience or knowledge within the agricultural industry, commodity inspection, export services or a related sector is highly regarded

Australian Government Authorised Officer PGG3001 and BVI3001 accreditation is desirable but not essential

Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports
