About the role

This is a genuine mix. About half your time is on the service desk resolving tickets remotely. The rest is out in the field – fixing issues on site, setting up new devices and meeting rooms, getting new starters ready on day one – and reviewing client environments against our standards to keep them secure and up to date.

You will

• Resolve Level 1 and Level 2 support requests across Windows, Microsoft 365, printers and networks
• Visit client sites across Christchurch and Canterbury for hands-on support and device deployment
• Set up new starters and offboard leavers end to end
• Carry out regular technical alignment reviews and fix the gaps you find
• Respond to monitoring alerts and keep patching and security baselines current
• Document what you learn so the team fixes things faster next time

About you

• 2+ years in IT support, service desk or field technician work, ideally with an MSP
• Confident troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365
• Friendly, clear communicator who is calm under pressure on site
• Organised and disciplined about notes and time recording
• Keen to grow into Intune, Entra ID and security work
• Full NZ driver's licence and the right to work in New Zealand
• Experience with MSP tools (PSA, RMM, documentation platforms) or a security framework such as SMB1001 is a bonus, not a must.
